Halloween Party

I am the worst at remembering to post things! I suppose that's why Facebook was nice.. It was so instant and didn't require details.

Anywho. We had a family Halloween party here with some cousins. I love to do it every year! As I have probably said before, Halloween is my favorite! I must have been too busy hosting, because I only got a few pictures! But I promised you the cutest cat ever didn't I?

Yes, the cutest! Her tail did not want to stay up. I guess I have a week to try and fix that... And the only other picture I got was of my sister and I. Ignore my large belly.

I'm pretty pleased with how my costume turned out! Yes I did make it... And yes it is maternity :)

Happy Halloween!

If you give a girl a donut...

... She is bound to make a huge mess!

But she was the best girl shopping today and I promised her a treat :)

And the big news... We are potty training! We've had ups and downs but all in all I can say that she gets it. Only 2 accidents so far - one of them #2 :/

Since she was so successful yestetday we let her stay up late and watch a movie in our bed - Lion King was the movie of choice.

Wish us luck in the next few days!

A Wreath Worth Sharing...

I'm so excited to be hanging this on my door!

So, let's be honest. All I did was add a bow. But what a bow! I am so excited for fall and Halloween, so a coordinating season wreath on the door makes all the difference to me! If you have any interest in the bow - here is where I found it.

My best friend and I like to make wreaths together every season - it's becoming a girls night tradition. I'm so pleased with how mine turned out. L even noticed it on the door as we drove away yesterday and said, "hey mom! did you just put your present on the door that you made?" So I guess it's noticeable (:

----

Yesterday my sister and I went to my Grandma's house (like we do once a month) to visit with her but more importantly this time to do a cleaning project. So these pictures are mostly for you mom (and any other of the family) since you couldn't be there.

I wish I would have taken a picture before we cleared it out - instead of just the empty one. So many things were crammed in there! And even though it still looks crammed, it's not. We left lots out and put it somewhere else. We cleaned all the dishes and glasses and wiped down all the knick knacks. Who knew you could have so many tea sets! It was fun to see all of her things and have her tell us where they came from. I could tell she enjoyed talking about all of the past parties they used to host.

It's a good feeling to help someone with something who can't do it themselves. She appreciated it. And that makes it all worth doing. Next project is the cupboards underneath (:

Since Grandma couldn't do much she just played with L and her cousin that was there. Gave them lots of candy and watched cat in the hat and curious George. L enjoyed it....

Wouldn't you agree?

----

Not much else to report on. My pregnancy is still as painful as ever.. Maybe that's an explanation for another time. But to sum it up... Baby boy is sitting so low he is putting too much pressure on me and it caused my legs to ache, which results in painful walking and standing. I have another appt in 1.5 weeks, so we'll see if the Doctor has much else to say. He didn't last time, except that it was normal with a 2nd pregnancy to feel this way. So hopefully it doesn't get any worse and cause me to not be able to go to NY later this month to see my parents.

Have a great weekend! Eric is beyond excited for some time off to rest from a week of waking up at 3:30 am. And I am just excited to spend time with him. Aren't we cheesy? (:

General Conference weekend

I love this time of year! The weather has cooled, the leaves are changing, Halloween is close (!), and general conference!

Our conference tradition was always to have cinnamon rolls waiting for the men after priesthood session... But now that my parents are gone (moved) - we have set a new tradition. I made some this morning to eat during conference. And they were DElCIOUS! Not moms recipe (sorry mom), but a worthy competitor. A more beginner recipe since this was my first time. And the best part is that it only made this pan, so I didn't have a TON left to fill our bellies!

Yum, right? They are "everyday cinnamon rolls" from Our Best Bites. Totally worth trying. I think they took me less than an hour to make, not including cooking time.

----

After the first session this morning we jumped in the car and drive up AF canyon to see the leaves. L was SO excited! She collected them in her bag so she could bring them home.

Isn't she the cutest?

Here is her collection:

And for all of you who who have asked for a picture or those of who you didn't know or remember - her baby brother is coming in January! She loves him. She talks to him often, gives him kisses, and hugs him. We are so excited for his arrival. L asked the other day, "is J (he has a name) coming out soon?" I think she totally gets it!

So here is a picture (there won't be many!!) of my ever growing belly, and sweet kisses to her brother.

6.5 months down. 3 more to go. I feel like my belly is growing so fast, he must be a big boy!

We had lots of fun walking around up there. Can you see snow in that last picture? It's coming! I just hope that fall doesn't go by too fast, like it always does.

Happy conference weekend! Hope yours was as good as ours :)

Hello World

Well. This is probably my 5th blog I have started. Mostly because, I have no reason. Just because. However this past time I was messing around in my settings and deleted my blog. I hadn't blogged on it for about a year and was trying to re-design it. So I started a new one, designed it, then started looking at some "helpful hints" on blogger and noticed that I could salvage my last blog! After all the hard work I had just put into this one. So. I'm sticking with this one. A blog about me, my family, and my interests.

I have deleted my facebook, because I spend way to much time on there. I have several family members not on facebook as well (including my parents who just moved across the country). So this is probably a better bet for me. I want to start a journal, but I'm just so much more of a digital person. So bear with me, if you will, but this blog is taking place of my journal - I will spare you all of the personal details though.

AND, someone showed me you can do quick posts from the blogger phone app as well. Including pictures from your phone. So now doing a blog will be almost as easy as a facebook post.

Don't hate me for making you change your last blog address you had for us.

----

Often times I make something (food) and try to explain it to someone and they ask for the recipe. And I am horrible at getting that to them. So on the top of my page I have "tabs" that I am going to link recipes that I have found and love so you can find them too (mom!)! And I will start adding before's and after's from the salon - I just need to remember to take the pictures. So please, refer your friends and family to me at my salon in American Fork. I will also upload the worksheets I make for budgetting and family binders that you can download and use at your liking too. I have been working a lot on photoshop doing invitations and announcements for fun, so I will advertise those too if any of you are interested in having me make you some. Be patient with me as I make my blog the way I want it.

----

Thanks for not hating me! I have a cute little "cat" to show you soon! She is beyond excited about her costume for Halloween. We just need to finish her tail, she asks me every day if it is done yet. She wants to "take my bag and got get treats!" already. We shouldn't have told her about trick or treating yet because it is all she wants to do. However, she has caught something in the air and we are trying to get her back to normal as soon as possible. Pray for no ear aches (1 more before the end of this month and she needs tubes in her ears)!! She laid on the couch all day yesterday.

So here's to hoping she gets feeling better. Fast.
